When the end comes, you get a real good feeling
When you stay home, you get a real good feeling
When you fuck off your friends, you get a real good feeling
Stay home, read books, water plants, feels good
What’s that feeling?
Here’s the change, don’t fight against it
I got a problem, I can’t get rid of it
I put the breaks on, who is drivin’ it?
I got a kick in the teeth, I don’t remember it
Stay home, read books, water plants, feels good
Here’s the change, don’t fight against it
The more wild the wind, bristling the sea, orange the leaves, singe the heart to rest us
Wet the lips, red the apple, blue the mood, hot the hands, higher the kite, happy the spirit
Marble the love, pretty the flower, tidal the wave, moaning the air, stronger the aura
Measureless.
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
